Partner Jerry Schwalbe is a licensed civil engineer with over 30 years of experience in site engineering, municipal infrastructure design, project management and site development projects. Jerry’s knowledge of site and utility design and their interrelationships with environmental issues and zoning requirements is invaluable in assisting clients to determine the most efficient and cost-effective means of utilizing their properties. Jerry oversees the firm’s use of CADD and PC-based engineering software to prepare comprehensive site engineering documents, including integrated earthwork and storm drainage calculations.
Jerry has recently been the principal-in-charge of the firm’s services provided for the multi-site 1.5 billion dollar River Park Center project proposed in downtown Yonkers, New York for Streuver Fidelco Cappelli; the expansion of the Catherine Field Home Senior Care Facility and associated age-restricted residential development in Yorktown, New York; and the adjoining mixed-use center and large-lot single family conservation subdivision for Castagna Realty in Pawling, New York. Jerry directs and coordinates the processing of our clients’ stormwater management plans, road and utility permits and subdivision applications with municipal boards and state agencies.
Before joining the firm in 1983, Jerry was a design engineer with Daniel Mann Johnson and Mendenhall where he provided utility engineering services for private and public projects, including the design and inspection of several miles of public sewer system beneath the streets of central Westchester communities. He has a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering from Manhattan College and an Associate in Applied Science from Westchester Community College. Jerry is a licensed professional engineer in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. He also serves as a member of his town’s inland wetlands commission. |
